OVERALL CONDITION

Tree lined with with decent tree coverage for shade. Maybe 50% shaded 50% partly shady. Flat terrain that feels more like a conservation area than average for the G2G. There are a few dips on the trail bit nothing that makes it inaccessible. The green space on either side of the trail made for a nice walk. However, especially with the tree coverage there were bugs.

TRAFFIC

The highway was not overall visible from this section. The side road that runs along the other side of the trail was visible but as usually was not busy with traffic so was not an issue. There are also a few farms that back onto the trail, which we think adds to its charm.

Foot/ cycle traffic was low on the day we went. Even though it was May 2-4 and gorgeous weather.

PARKING

This section of the trail goes into the town of Walton so there is an actual parking lot. This makes for easy parking.
